Bush Owns Self
"President" Bush, speaking to a crowd of military and Pentagon personnel had a slip of the tongue:
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said. "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
A telling remark, considering the actions of his administration, especially since 9/11.
In related news, Senator John Kerry, speaking to a group of minority journalists, also in Washington, had this to say about how the prez responded upon receiving news of the attacks:
"Had I been reading to children and had my top aide whispered in my ear, 'America is under attack,' I would have told those kids very politely and nicely that the president of the United States had something that he needed to attend to -- and I would have attended to it."
Indeed, many have scolded Bush for his actions on that infamous day. The events that transpired were recorded by the Elementary School teacher who was there and were later made a centerpiece to Michael Moore's scathing documentary "Farenheit 9/11".
