Zell Has Hell of a Convention

Georgia "Democrat" Zell Miller gave one of the most impassioned speeches anyone has given this election year; too bad it was closer to a crazed Howard Dean than a inspiring Barack Obama. An excellent weblog, that I was just turned onto today, gave and excellent commentary recounting Miller's speech and what was so iritating about it.

The personal favorite of the night is this:

"For more than 20 years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure."

That's interesting, Zell — considering that, as recently as 2001, you described him with the following glowing praise (by the way, you might want to have your webmaster remove this link to save you some embarassment):

"My job tonight is an easy one: to present to you one of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders – and a good friend...In his 16 years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington...John has worked to strengthen our military, reform public education, boost the economy and protect the environment."

They've got links(Windows only, it seems, as I can't view it) to MSNBC, where you can view Zell's rousing speech(hint: it was Sept 1st) and their page is just overall very cool. I wish I had a site as cool as theirs!
