Fun With Real Video

Several excellent videos I unearthed on the 'net today. Shame I didn't get to all of this eariler, but better late than never. First of all, for anyone who didn't see the debate the other night(I'm watching it right now), here's the clip most people were talking about. Yes, President Bush broke the rules, disobeying Charlie Gibson and rebutting a statement by Senator Kerry that was not to be responded to. It should be noted that he did that several times.

Secondly, I vote for Tim Ryan (D., OH) for Ballsiest Representative of the Year. Here is his speech, given during the much mentioned vote on the draft last week. Here's a few quotes:

We're not trying to scare kids. This president's foreign policy is what's scaring the kids of this country. And then people have said today, "Well why are people believeing this. Why are people believing this big internet hoax?" Well, it's the same people who told us Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11. Same people that told us Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Same people that told us we were going to be able to use the oil for reconstruction money. Same people who told us we would be greeted as liberators, not occupiers. Same people, same President that told us the Taliban is gone. Same president that told us that Poland is our ally, two days before they pull out. Same president that tells us Iraq is going just great. Same president that tells us the economy is going just great. Same people that told us the tax cut was going to create millions of jobs. Same people that told us that the medicare program only cost 400 billion dollars when it really cost 540 billion dollars. So please forgive us for not believing what you're saying. Please forgive the students of this country for not believing what you're saying. Not one thing, not one thing about this war that has been told to the American people or that has been told to these college students has been true. Not one thing. Bremmer says we need more troops, the Pentagon says we need more troops, and this President can't get em from the international community. There's only one option left; let's be honest with the American people."

Wow. He is so impassioned toward the end of that speech, I wanted to jump up off of my couch and cheer for him. I think I have a new role model, and it's Rep. Tim Ryan. He's the youngest person ever to be elected to the House. Phenomenal.

Thanks go out to The Big Ticket for both of these links. For further discussion, here's the original source of Ryan's speech at Daily Kos.
